Security support

Security fixes will generally be provided for the latest supported releases only. Currently, both the 0.7 and the 0.8 series will receive updates for any security problems found.

The nss-pam-ldapd development repository is also available through Git with:

The repository is browsable and also cloned on Github and Gitorious.

Commits for the 0.7 and 0.8 branches still go to the Subversion repository first but the Git repository is automatically updated.

Binary distributions

• Packages for Debian in lenny, squeeze and sid are available:

  The package in sid shlould be updated immediatly when a new release comes out. On installation these packages prompt the user for configuration information with sensible defaults based on information present on the system.
• Packages for Ubuntu are available at:
  http://packages.ubuntu.com/libnss-ldapd
  Note that the Ubuntu package that has been shipped with hardy is better avoided because a lot of bugs have been fixed since then.
• A FreeBSD port is available here:
  http://www.freshports.org/net/nss-pam-ldapd/
• nss-pam-ldapd is also shipped in OpenSuSE, Red Hat, Fedora Core, Slackware, Gentoo and other distributions.

Note that the above packages (except the Debian one) are provided by other parties. They may not be updated as frequently and contain distribution-specific patches. Please report any bugs to the distributor.
